Tomato (biological name: Solanum
Lycopersicum, syn. Lycopersicon Lycopersicum & Lycopersicon esculentum) is the fruit of a plant used
as a vegetable. It is a South and Central American fruit and was introduced to
the rest of the world in the fifteenth century. It was first used in Europe in
the 16th century, but Britain did not use it until the early 18th century
because it was considered toxic. The Spaniards first used it in Europe. It is
usually red in color and is rich in vitamin J and steel.
Onions are a type of salad, so they are used as food. Nowadays its cultivation is common. It is used in fresh and frozen form, in the form of pickles, saffron, and pieces.
